Though they are dead they still speak
There are those who defend the denial of Objective Justification in Lutheranism by resorting to the classic Lutheran theologians of the 16th and 17th centuries. In order to shed light on the subject and show that these men did teach Objective Justification Dr. Robert D. Preus, late President of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, compiled these quotations. This is a useful resource for those teaching either Systematic Theology or Historical Theology. These quotations translated from the original Latin give us a glimpse into the tomes of the past largely unavailable in today's world. We notice that Dr. Preus points out the limitations of his study, but despite that, it is a helpful resource.
